On Wednesday, 11th of May, 4-6pm Publics is hosting a reading session with the contributors of vari* zine.

vari* is a nordic-based hybrid zine which explores different perspectives, practices and thoughts on intersectional feminist research, intending toaddress complex feminism topics and initiate discussions through a playful and humorous approach. This zine is designed for the wannabe feminists and those who have a general interest in the topics.

In their first Issue – Identity ­– artists and creators were asked to submit their feelings and thoughts about the keyword “identity”, keeping in mind that our identity is what shapes and helps us to differentiate ourselves from others. By reclaiming control over our identity, we gain a feeling of belonging, and we find like-minded people who can help explain our behaviors and our world. In some cases, this can lead to the exclusion of people who are not accepted or do not accept such classifications.
