As part of PUBLICS Parahosting programme, join us on August 5 from 18-20 for the publication launch of Pattern Reader, published by cover crop. The event starts with an introduction by the editor, Kristina Stallvik, followed by readings by contributors.
Taking its starting point from the collection of texts housed by the PUBLICS Library, Pattern Reader explores multiple understandings of “pattern” as a verb – to instruct, arrange, decorate, create rhythm, give texture, make intelligible – and their manifestations within contemporary art practice. The contributions inhabit a space between word, image, and action, giving shape to these various mechanisms of the pattern. Join us on Wednesday August 5th to celebrate the launch of the publication.
