Francesca and Stuart Bertolotti-Bailey are one half of The Serving Library – an expansive endeavour that variously serves as a publishing platform, a seminar room, a collection of framed objects, and an event space. In EX LIBRIS they will retrace The Serving Library’s ten-year history, outline its current activities and launch the new issue of its house journal The Serving Library Annual, which doubles as a catalogue of their collection of unusually telling objects.

Stuart is also one half of graphic design duo Dexter Sinister and Head of Design at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. His work circumscribes graphic design, writing, editing and publishing.

Francesca is currently a Research Fellow at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts of Helsinki, in partnership with the Saastamoinen Foundation. She is a curator, editor and producer with a background in management and cultural policy.
