PUBLICS is delighted to announce a new element in our Library program – the Reading Group. Reading Group currently led and co-initiated by Jo Hislop is a monthly chance to meet informally, read and collectively discuss topics that arise from the selected text-based work.
Reading group themes vary in each session. First session – Reading Towards Becoming Casual – will happen on 16th of March, Wednesday, from 4.30-6pm. March meeting features an essay by Emma Cocker, published in Reading/Feeling volume as a part of If I can’t dance publication series. Emma Cocker uses the notion of affect to discuss an embodied and felt approach to reading that is flowing and active, drawing attention to the joys and possibilities of collective reading.
In order to get a PDF copy of the selected publication in advance, send an email to info@publics.fi.
